Become a local organiser

Organisers are supporters who run our local ORG communities across the UK. If you live in another country, look for other digital rights or even human rights organisations to join locally.

To apply to become a Local Organiser, please send your answers to the following questions in an email to volunteer@openrightsgroup.org:

  • What city, town or region are you in?
  • How much time would you be happy to spend running the group on average per week?
  • Why are you interested in becoming a Local Organiser (e.g. concerned about surveillance or part of local campaign)?
  • What experience and skills do you have that would help you in the role (e.g. running a street stall, meeting your MP and local campaigning)?
  • Are you a member of or connected to any other local groups that you could work with (e.g. local 38 Degrees branch, church community or political party)?
  • Do you have any questions about the role?
