ORG is looking for an organised and creative Supporter Officer to engage our dedicated membership of over 3000 people, and network of groups across the country. We need someone to support these people and involve them in our campaigns at a grassroots level.
You will ensure that memberships are well managed and queries are answered in a timely, friendly and helpful way, and send out member packs and other merchandise. The role will also require you to manage supporter and financial databases. Working with the Executive Director and Communications Director, you will design campaigns and communications to grow our supporter base.
You will promote ORG’s work by posting on social media, writing newsletters and blogs, and updating the ORG website. You will also help to set up, promote and run ORG events by booking venues, speakers and marketing to supporters and the public.
This is a part time role, working 4 days a week in our offices near Kings Cross. The salary is £25,000 pro rata.
You do not need all of the requirements in the job description below. We believe that the most important thing you need to succeed in this role is a passion for the cause and an ability to learn on the job. Therefore preference is given to someone who can give evidence of an interest in digital rights and free expression issues.
We recognize the importance of a diverse workforce and encourage applications from women, LGBTQ-identified people, people of colour, and people with a disability.
Please send a completed application form and equal opportunities form to firstname.lastname@example.org by midday on July 27. Interviews will take place on August 1.
We always welcome people seeking to volunteer for ORG.
