Victory against ACTA!

ACTA was an international treaty which would have imposed extraordinary constraints on fundamental values such as free speech and the right to privacy. It proposed turning Internet Service Providers into the private police force of rights holders.

ORG campaigned heavily against this oppressive Bill: our supporters joined protests, wrote to their MEPs, and made sure that the European Parliament recognised the Treaty’s failure to safeguard these vital freedoms, and voted overwhelmingly to reject it.
