1. My paypal subscription has stopped working. What should i do?

This is a common and easily remedied predicament, so fear not. Simplest fix is to start a standing order with through online banking. Paypal seems less reliable than the old banks, and also takes 37p out of every £5 donation! All you’ll need is our sort code (08-92-99) account number (65185766) and your personal supporter id as a reference. If you don’t know your supporter ID, then email your a query to info-at-openrightsgroup.org and we’ll let you know.

2. I don’t know if i’m paying you money, but want to. What should i do?

We ask that you first check your own records, whether paypal or bank account, before checking this out with us. Once you’ve done so, and if you’re still unclear, email info-at -openrightsgroupdotorg for advice. We can check our records to find out whether your monthly fiver (or whatever) is reaching us.

3. I want to pay you more / less money. What should i do?

No need to advise us in advance, unless you feel that courtesy demands :), just vary the payment through paypal or your bank account. We’ll still be able to match the payments with your supporter records at our end. Some people give us £2.50 a month, most give us a fiver, others are mad-generous and give £100 a month! A good guide is to give what you can afford, but no more.

4. I want to make a one-off donation. Is that OK?

Yes! You’re very welcome to send cheques (paid out to ‘Open Rights Group’) to the office address: 7th floor, 100 Grays Inn Road, London WC1X 8AL. Cash donations aren’t a great idea, as they may get lost in the post. You can also make one-off donations straight into our bank and paypal accounts, using ‘one-off donation’ as the payment reference. The bank account number is 65185766, and the sort code is 08-92-99.

5. I have entered my details into the ‘Support ORG’ form twice and now have two Supporter IDs so which one should i use?

It doesn’t really matter which ID you use as your payment reference, because we can reconcile your donations with either ID. It won’t affect your Founding 1000 status either, because we’ll keep a record of both supporter IDs.

6. My paypal subscription has failed. How can i restart it?

Drop a mail to info-at -openrightsgroupdotorg so we can reply with a custom link that will get you started up again. Please tell us the amount (e.g. ten pounds) and frequency (e.g. every month). No need to tell us your Supporter ID because we can always check our records.
