First thing to do is get hold of an IRC client so you can actually connect. I'll list a few of the more common clients per operating system. These are in alphabetical order rather than any preference.

  • The free Opera browser, available for the above operating systems and more, has a built in chat client. Just go to the Chat menu in Opera.
