Not content with laws that could remove internet sharing and disconnect families where suspected infringement occurs, PRS are now asking for ISPs to pay royalties for infringing material as well. Will Page, their economist, says he believes this would encourage ISPs to reduce infringement on their networks. No examination of the expense, futility and likely illegality of mass interception of traffic without consent is made.
