BCS has broadly welcomed the recommendation that the National Programme for IT should not be abandoned but be recast to better meet the needs of patients. The recommendation appeared in the "Independent Review of NHS and Social Care IT" published recently by the NHS IT Policy Review Group and commissioned by Stephen O'Brien MP.Source: British Computer SocietyFollowing consultation with members of its Health Informatics Forum (BCSHIF), BCS is supportive of many of the recommendations made in the Review.
