Many people who showed up will only have done so because of what ORG does, or were persuaded by a friend who does understand. And those who do might not appreciate it being reiterated to them at length.

Amyway Mike, we're glad you came to the party. Glad you made it to the web site where what ORG does is set out pretty clearly. And let's hope you like it and join up!</description>

I came along to this event as a guest of someone else who was a member.

I did ask a few people what ORG is and does, but it really wasn't that clear to me.

All I'm saying is, as an event to attract new lay members, I don't think it clearly explained why people should join ORG or what the organisation is. I was given a flyer saying it was a body that put journalists in touch with people working on digital rights issues, but it seems more like a campaigning body.

I think if you want to attract new paying members at your events, you need to be clearer about who you are and what you are doing. 

Overall though I thought it was alright as an event.</description>
